FAQ

Below is a collection of the most frequently asked questions related to Bin It Now skip bin hire services.

HOW LONG CAN I HIRE A SKIP BIN FOR?

All our skip bin rentals are for up to 7 days. Simply nominate the date you would like the bin picked up or serviced on our booking form and this will be the date we will work towards. If you would like to change the planned date or require a longer period than 7days simply contact one of our team on 1300 646 946 and they will provide you with a solution.

HOW DO I PAY?

You can book and pay online through our secure website or call 1300 646 946 and pay via credit card over the phone. Our drivers are also able to accept cash when they arrive to deliver the bin, however it is your responsibility to ensure that you are onsite to pay for the delivery of the bin, otherwise further charges may apply, or non-delivery of the bin may occur.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY BIN TO BE DELIVERED?

Depending on the requirements of the booking, in most cases Bin It Now can have a bin to you within 48 hours of receiving the booking and payment notification. Due to the many variables in our business, like traffic and previous job delays for example, we cannot guarantee specific delivery times but can provide the option of a morning or afternoon delivery. We are also more than happy to have one of our friendly driver’s contact you as they are leaving the previous job to provide you with an estimated time of arrival.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEAVY & GENERAL WASTE?

Heavy waste is typically bricks, soil, tiles, concrete, pavers etc. It’s important to choose the correct waste type when ordering your bin as further charges may apply if your bin is heavy and you selected general waste.

General waste is light clean up waste such as roofing iron, old cabinets, washing machines and whitegoods, old furniture, general rubbish from shed and household clean ups etc.

WHAT CAN’T I PUT IN MY SKIP BIN?

We have been careful to explain exactly what can and cannot be placed into a skip bin on the On Line Booking Form, as well as highlighting it in the “Choosing Waste Types” Link on this website. It is your responsibility to ensure that you do not place any prohibited waste in our bins such as mattresses, flammable materials, any tyres, paints, oils, gas cylinders, food wastes, chemical wastes, etc. For more information on disposing of hazardous wastes please refer to www.epa.qld.gov.au.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE BIN IS OVERFULL?

Please read our terms and conditions carefully. To ensure compliance to all safety and road/traffic regulations and laws, any overfilled bin will be emptied by our driver, with the excess rubbish be placed beside the bin. To avoid this happening, please ensure that all waste is kept within the perimeter of the bin and does not protrude over the lip (top) of the bin.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE BIN IS OVERLOADED?

When booking a bin please read our terms and conditions carefully and refer to the Allowable Weight Limits for each bin size when selecting a suitable bin size. Bin It Now is obliged by law to operate under the strict Chain of Responsibility Regulations and if a bin is considered to be overloaded our drivers will be instructed to empty the bin onsite, until it becomes compliant.

CAN I PLACE THE BIN ON THE ROAD OR MY NATURE STRIP?

By placing the bin inside your property, it will ensure that other people do not use your bin for their own rubbish. Most councils require a permit for placement on roads / nature strips etc and in these instances we would require a copy of the permit prior to placing the bin. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further information and clarification.

CAN I MOVE THE BIN AFTER IT HAS BEEN PLACED?

For many reasons the answer to this is no. Moving the bin after it has been placed can make it extremely difficult for the bin to be picked up, can damage the bin (which you may be liable for) and is not a safe action to move a bin without the right equipment. Bin It Now accept no liability for the costs required to rectify a “moved bin” scenario, or any damage or injury that this action may cause.

DO YOU SUPPLY PERMANENT BINS ONSITE?

Yes, we most certainly do. If you have a regular waste stream, please call the Bin It Now team on 1300 646 946 to discuss pricing and bin sizes.
